If you want to start achieving greatness, stop asking for permssion.
So many women wait. We wait for the kids to grow up, for work to slow down, for someone to say it’s ok to choose ourselves. We wait for permission – from partners, parents, bosses, society – before we dare to rest, dream, or change direction. But here’s the truth: you don’t need anyone’s permission to want more, to want different or to put yourself first. Still, if it helps, here it is…
You have permission to stop living life on autopilot!
You have permission to say no. Or to say yes! To want something that is just for you. And most importantly, you have permission to begin – right now.
I’ve come to realise that I’ve spent most of my life asking for permission. Unknowingly. Subconsciously. This journey – especially coaching – has opened my eyes to that.
One moment stands out. I was speaking to my coach, uncertain about when to start offering sessions while still training. Every option I suggested involved someone else helping me decide – giving me a sign, making it “okay”. That’s when the realisation hit:
I didn’t need anyone else to tell me it was time.
I already had the answers. I knew my goal. I knew the time frame. I knew I was ready.
I ended that call and took immediate action. It was scary and I felt so far out of my comfort zone. But I showed up – and by the end of the very next day, I had found myself 5 new clients. No permission slip required. It was one of the most empowering, aligned moments of my journey.
Writing this now, I realise I’m still shedding this pattern. Somewhere deep down I have been waiting – again – for someone to tell me I’m good enough. That my ideas are right. That women will want what I have to offer.
This is my call to action – to myself.
It’s time to stretch again. To step outside of comfort and into growth.
I’m ready! Are you?!
